Thank you for adding your voice to our call
for Comcast to rescind the additional fees
and the displacement of Cspan-2 (Book TV).
Because of your assistance, as of the end
of 2009 beginning of 2010, Comcast had
fulfilled all of our requirements. We were
successful.

Our next requirement focuses on community
needs: starting with young students (pre-K
and K through 12) with certain learning
deficiencies, we will participate in, and
create special presentations to help address
this requirement.

The Oaks is an outpost on the extreme east
side of Oak Park. The tenants are primarily
elderly and/or disabled. We will continue our
work to improve  tenant socialization and
wellbeing by inclusion in this years projects.
As part of our initial efforts: continue the
breakfast and brunch schedule for
weekends; provide celebration dinners for
selected holidays. We will work with
Connected Living; and the new Healthcare
services at The Oaks.

Working on the Internet has definite cost
advantages. However, all public actions
have real costs: creating and implementing a
community project; underwriting ongoing
contact services; creating and managing
meetings with food and services, has costs
too numerous to mention.
